Teaching & Education

Teaching Philosophy

As an educator and multidisciplinary artist, I approach teaching as a collaboration between truth-telling, craft, and confidence. Whether working with emerging actors, writers, or community-based storytellers, my goal is always to create a space where students feel both challenged and seen. I believe that technique and vulnerability go hand-in-hand—and that teaching isn’t just about building skill, but about nurturing artistic identity and personal voice.

My pedagogy is grounded in practices of liberation and accessibility. I’ve taught students who stutter, students of color navigating systemic barriers, and students from nontraditional educational paths. In each case, I tailor my approach to honor their lived experience while offering frameworks that stretch their creative potential. I lean into curiosity, precision, and joy. I also bring professional experience as a performer, writer, and production manager—giving students real-world context for how their training connects to working in the industry today.

I am passionate about supporting the next generation of storytellers across stage, screen, and new media—and am available for guest lectures, workshop intensives, semester-long courses, and long-term university teaching appointments.
